The H Mann This is a song dedicated to Harry Mann composer, musician, and actor better know as the H-Mann. Harry emigrated from San Francisco to New York City in the 80s to help the playwright Peter Coyote open in the Public Theatre. At the age of 86 yrs he still is acting and playing in plays. It features Philip on a beautiful piano solo!

Ramata’s Dance was provoked when I saw a YouTube video of a dancer i Mali. This features Masaru Koga on bamboo flute and Bobby Cobb on guitar.

Seattle’s 60’s music scene inspired Makoto to create his latest album, Echoes of the CD. The lead single, “JJ’s Blues,” is out now, giving you a taste of Seattle’s funky sound!

Kement
Inspired by melodies and themes that I heard throughout, I imagined that I was with a tribe and that we were on our way to Kement (an ancient word for Egypt). It features Masaru Koga on flute and Robbie Kwock on trumpet.
 
Cry of thE refugee
This piece was inspired when I heard Bassekou Kouyate who plays an instrument called ngoni from Mali. It features Grand Master Kenny Endo on Taiko. I had Kenny play the melody on the Taiko.
 
DANCIN IN THE WATER

Where ethereal dancers twirled and leapt with effortless grace upon the glistening expanse of tranquil water.
